Registration Issues?

It has come to my attention that my anti-spam plugin for WordPress, Sabre, has been stopping legitimate registration attempts, so this plugin is now disabled. If you tried to register before and were unable, please try again.

In fact, I have decided to disable all of my anti-spam WordPress plugins just now, in favor of putting another program to the test. It has been in place since June 20, and has blocked more than 1700 access attempts so far, mostly by spam bots, SEO bots, and web scrapers. This isn’t just an anti-spam program, though. It also appears to be effective at blocking hacking attempts, speeding up any database-driven website for legitimate users, and should also prevent DDOS attacks.

I have been comparing access logs with these other logs, and so far, I like what I see. After I test it for a while on its own without the WordPress plugins, I’ll let you all know how it goes, and I’ll let you know how you can get it for any PHP-driven website (not just WordPress). 🙂
